São Paulo International Airport – officially named Governador André Franco Montoro Airport - is located on the suburbs of Guarulhos city (about 30 km away) and it is not very easy to get there because there are no trains linking Guarulhos to São Paulo.
TIP: Locals and taxi drivers refer to this airport as Cumbica. So, be careful!
Taxi:
Taxis are very expensive, so it should be your last option. According to the place you would like to go, it will cost you at least R$105,00 or USD 60,00. Depending on the traffic, it will take you at least 40 minutes to get there.
If you have to take a taxi, I suggest you look for the Guarucoop Taxi kiosk at the airport. They have a fixed price fare and you won’t be cheated. If you want to check their website, click here. If you don’t speak Portuguese, they also have bilingual recepcionists and drivers.
A shuttle bus service runs between Guarulhos and 6 points in São Paulo (including the domestic airport of Congonhas). It will take you at least 50 minutes to get there.

Regular bus is the cheapest option to get to the airport. The buses run between Tatuapé metro station (Red Line) to the international airport every 30 minutes. The average time will be of 50 minutes and the ticket fare is R$ 4,05 (2,35 USD).Regular Buses
